Journal Entry: Rise Up Junior Grand Final 2025
Last night, Club Noir came alive with the incredible voices of nine talented young performers at the Rise Up Junior Grand Final.
A Showcase of Young Talent
Each of the nine performers brought their own unique artistry to the stage, captivating the audience from start to finish. The room buzzed with energy as families, friends, and community members cheered them on, celebrating every note.
Our special guest judge, Darren Percival, was blown away by the standard of talent, admitting it was no easy task to select the top three. His words captured the spirit of the evening: humbled, amazed, and inspired by what these young voices are capable of.
And the Winners Are…
After much anticipation, the results were announced:
🏆 First Place – Hannah Buckle
🥈 Second Place – Ada Martin-Kerr
🥉 Third Place – Josh Starnes
The audience also had their say, voting Cadence Petersen as the well-deserved Crowd Favourite.
More Than a Competition
One of the most heartwarming parts of the night was witnessing how supportive the contestants were of each other. Backstage, they bonded through quirky check-ins, group breathwork, and grounding exercises, guided by Lisa and Beth. These small but meaningful moments helped create the safe and encouraging space that Rise Up is known for.
Rather than rivalry, what shone through was a strong sense of community — young singers uplifting one another and celebrating each performance with pride. This is exactly the kind of environment we strive to foster at Performance Studios.
